Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our Commitment

At Lominy, we're committed to providing transparent and fair subscription terms for TagFlow. This policy outlines how cancellations and refunds work for our service.

Free Plan

Account Closure

Since the Free Plan has no subscription or charges, there is nothing to cancel. However, you may close your TagFlow account at any time with no fees, charges, or penalties. Simply:

  • Log into your TagFlow account
  • Navigate to Settings → Account
  • Click "Close Account" or contact us at support@lominy.co.za

Data Retention

After closing your account, your TagFlow application data (NFC tags, scan analytics, and customer engagement data) will be retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation. After 30 days, all application data will be permanently deleted.

Note: Payment information is securely managed by Paddle and is not stored on Lominy servers. If you resubscribe, you will need to re-enter your payment details.

Paid Plans (Founder's Rate & Professional)

Founder's Pricing (Limited Time Offer)

Founder's Rate: $12/month forever - Available to users who sign up before January 31, 2026. This rate is locked in for life and will never increase, even as we add new features.

Professional Plan: $19/month - Standard pricing available after January 31, 2026 for new customers.

Billing Cycle

Paid plan subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you initially subscribed. For example, if you subscribe on the 15th of the month, you will be billed on the 15th of each subsequent month.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your paid plan subscription at any time by:

  • Logging into your TagFlow account
  • Going to Settings → Billing
  • Clicking "Cancel Subscription"
  • Or emailing support@lominy.co.za

Important: When you cancel, your access to paid plan features will continue until the end of your current billing period. Your Founder's Rate lock-in will be maintained if you resubscribe later.

Consumer Protection Act - 5-Day Cooling-Off Period

South African consumers have the right to cancel their subscription within 5 (five) business days of the initial purchase without providing a reason, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).

To exercise this right, email support@lominy.co.za within 5 business days of your subscription date. A full refund will be processed within 30 days of your cancellation request.

After the Cooling-Off Period

After the 5-day cooling-off period, paid plan subscriptions are non-refundable. We encourage all users to start with our Free Forever plan to test TagFlow before upgrading to a paid plan.

No Partial Refunds:

  • No refunds are provided for partial months or unused time within a billing period
  • You may cancel at any time, and you will retain access until the end of your billing period
  • No charges will occur after your billing period ends

Refunds in Exceptional Circumstances

Outside the cooling-off period, we will consider refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Service outages: Extended technical issues preventing usage
  • Billing errors: Duplicate charges or incorrect amounts
  • Unauthorized charges: Charges made without your authorization

For exceptional circumstances, contact support@lominy.co.za with your account details and explanation. We will review on a case-by-case basis.

Founder's Pricing Lock-In Guarantee

Users who subscribe to the Founder's Rate before January 31, 2026 receive:

  • Lifetime rate lock: $12/month forever - your rate will never increase
  • Cancellation protection: If you cancel and resubscribe later, you keep your Founder's Rate
  • Feature access: All new features added to the platform are included at no extra cost

After January 31, 2026, new customers will pay the standard $19/month rate, but Founder's Rate subscribers will continue to pay only $12/month.

Refunds: Founder's Rate subscriptions are subject to the standard 5-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Protection Act. We encourage all users to start with our Free Forever plan to thoroughly test TagFlow before committing to the Founder's Rate.

Enterprise Plan

Enterprise subscriptions operate under custom contracts with specific terms. Refund and cancellation policies for Enterprise customers are outlined in their individual service agreements.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Paddle. Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank.

Payment Issues

If a payment fails:

  • You will receive an email notification with instructions to update your payment method
  • You have 7 days to update your payment information before service is suspended
  • After suspension, you have an additional 23 days (30 days total) to restore your account before data deletion

Downgrading

You may downgrade from Pro to Free at any time. The downgrade will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for downgrades.

When downgrading from Pro to Free:

  • You will still be able to see all your data after the downgrade takes effect
  • All tags other than the first 10 will be automatically deactivated
  • Advanced Pro features will be revoked, including:
    • Advanced analytics
    • Higher scan limits (reverts to 100 scans/month)
    • Priority support
    • Other Pro-only features
  • No data is deleted during the downgrade process

Important: Please ensure that downgrading will not disrupt your customers before proceeding. If you have more than 10 active tags, consider which tags are most critical to keep active, or plan to upgrade back to Pro before the downgrade takes effect.

Upgrading

You may upgrade from Free to Pro at any time. The upgrade takes effect immediately, and you will be charged for a full month of Pro service.

3D Printing Services

For custom 3D printing orders (separate from TagFlow subscriptions):

  • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis for defective products
  • Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun (usually within 24 hours of order)
  • Returns for defects must be initiated within 14 days of delivery
  • Contact sales@lominy.co.za for 3D printing refund requests

  • Your account email address
  • Reason for refund request
  • Any relevant details or issues encountered

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 1 business day and process approved refunds within 3-5 business days.
